Can a chemical peel reduce sun damage to skin?
Posted August 16, 2011 5:10 PM in Chemical Peel

Question

Question:
For years I was a sun worshipper and now my skin is horribly sun damaged. Can a chemical peel improve my skin?

Answer:
Photodamage or sun damage to the skin can be corrected through a number of ways, including internally with diet, vitamins, exercise and avoiding sun exposure. For more severe problems we perform laser procedures and chemical peels and/or topical treatments. Patients need to come in to the practice to really be evaluated to see what the underlying problems are and we usually start with the simplest technique possible.
