Question: During the recovery period after skin resurfacing, is it expected that my skin would be red and irritated until it heals completely?
Answer: Recovery after laser skin resurfacing depends on the depth of the treatment performed. Recovery can be anywhere from no side effects to some red skin that looks like a sun burn. Red and irritated skin does not really result. Usually, for the deeper treatment, you will look red like a sun burn but not irritated.

Question: What type of scars can be repaired by laser skin resurfacing?
Answer: We treat many scars with laser skin resurfacing. We use fraxel lasers at this point. It does take multiple treatments but repairing and improving scars using lasers is a very new hot trend in plastic surgery.
