I had a mid face lift but the skin around my nose still sags?

Question:
I'm a 56-year-old female and I had a mid face lift 7 months ago. I've noticed some skin still sags around my nose. Are there any alternatives to help fix this problem?
Answer:
Mid face or facelift is not the answer for all saggy skin. Though we still need to do alternative technology such as radio frequency and other skin tightening lasers to tighten saggy skin and in some cases we volumize the face with fat grafting or other synthetic fillers to correct some sagging and wrinkling.

Does midface lift remove cheek wrinkles?
Posted August 12, 2011 4:30 PM in Mid Facelift
I think I look pretty good for an old lady of 63. I really have very few wrinkles. I’ve maintained my weight and exercise daily. So why then, when I’ve taken care of myself, do I have loose folds of skin on my cheeks? Can I get this removed with a midface lift?
Aging depends on a number of facts, including genetics, sun damage, hormone health and overall laxity of the skin. Some people age better, some people age less well. For loose folds on the cheek, some version of a facelift is usually needed to correct this. Some non-surgical options are available as well depending on the patient’s degree of laxity. It would be best to come in for an evaluation.

How long does a midface lift last?
Posted August 12, 2011 9:10 AM in Mid Facelift
I believe that I’m a good candidate for a midface lift. Using my finger, if I put just a little pressure on my cheek bones and push up, my face looks like 10 years younger. I’m 37 years old. How long do the effects of this procedure last?
Pushing up and out is more the result that you would get with a midface lift, which is basically a cheek lift. The results of these procedures can last for quite a long time depending on skin elasticity. At this point, we have many other options that are non-surgical for patients who have minimal facial laxity. People need to come in for an evaluation so we could discuss the non-invasive and minimally invasive procedures.
