I want to have a midface lift. The skin on the lower half of my face is very saggy. There are also a lot of wrinkles in this area, including marionette lines. Will this procedure help me get rid of these wrinkles?
A midface lift is not the answer. A midface lift is an effective way to rid oneself of middle face or central face laxity or sagginess. The skin in the lower half of the face is usually best treated by a facelift. It is hard to really answer this type of question without seeing the patient for an evaluation as there as many ways to treat marionette lines and these types of wrinkles including facelift, laser resurfacing, fat grating or even injection of fillers depending on exactly where the wrinkles are located.
